Classic Vodka Cocktails

As you have probably already noticed, we love to experiment with our spirits. Creating new cocktails or even cooking and baking with gin and vodka is super exciting and a lot of fun. However, every now and then it’s also nice to go back to real bar classics – after all, these drinks have become classics for a reason. We’ve put together five classic vodka cocktails for you, which you should definitely try mixing at home or order in a bar next time.

Vodka Martini

Ingredients

5 cl LION’s Vodka
1 cl dry Vermouth
1 Lemon zest or 1 green olive

Preparation

Mix the vodka and the vermouth in a mixing glass with ice cubes. Then pour into a martini glass without ice cubes. Squeeze lemon zest over the drink so that the essential oils of the lemon are squirted onto the drink. If prefered, a green olive can also be added to the glass. Both garnish variations are classic.

Cosmopolitan

Ingredients

2 cl LION’s Vodka
1 cl Cointreau
2 cl Cranberry Juice
1 cl Lime Juice

Preparation

Mix all ingredients with some ice cubes in a shaker and pour into a chilled cocktail glass (the ice cubes remain in the shaker). Garnish with an orange or lime zest.

Vesper Martini

Ingredients

6 cl THE DUKE Munich Dry Gin
1,5 cl LION’s Vodka
0,75 cl Lillet Blanc
Lemon zest

Preparation

Mix all ingredients with some ice cubes in a shaker.
Then strain through a bar sieve into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon zest.

White Russian

Ingredients

4 cl LION’s Vodka
3 cl coffee liqueur
5-6 cl cream
1 coffee bean

preparation

Fill tumbler with ice cubes. Pour in the vodka and coffee liqueur and stir with a bar spoon until the glass fogs up. Pour the cream into the shaker. Close it tightly and shake briefly and vigorously until the cream is thick. Alternatively, briefly whip the cream with a hand mixer. Carefully pour the semi-stiff cream onto the drink to create two layers. Garnish with a coffee bean.

Bloody Mary

Ingredients

4 cl LION’s Vodka
10 cl tomato juice
2 cl lemon juice
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco
salt and pepper

preparation

Mix all ingredients vigorously in a shaker with a few ice cubes. Pour into a highball glass (the ice cubes used for mixing remain in the shaker). Garnish with a stick of celery and possibly a slice of lemon.
