4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our website uses so-called "cookies." Cookies are small text files that do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you visit our website (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies serve various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website features would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising.
Cookies that are required to carry out electronic communication (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies to measure web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the cookies in question will be stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); this consent can be revoked at any time.
You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and to only accept cookies on a case-by-case basis, to exclude cookies for specific cases or in general, and to automatically delete cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you separately about this within the framework of this data protection declaration and, if necessary, request your consent.
Cookie consent with "GDPR Legal Cookie"
This website uses the cookie consent tool “GDPR Legal Cookie” from beeclever GmbH, Universitätsstraße 3, D-56070 Koblenz a. Rh. (“beeclever”) to obtain effective user consent for cookies that require consent and cookie-based applications.
By integrating appropriate JavaScript code, users are shown a banner when they visit the page, in which they can give their consent for specific cookies and/or cookie-based applications by checking the appropriate boxes. The tool blocks the setting of all cookies requiring consent until the respective user gives their consent by checking the appropriate box. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user's device if consent has been granted.
To ensure that the cookie consent tool can clearly assign page views to individual users and individually record, log, and save the consent settings made by the user for the duration of the session, certain user information (including the IP address) is collected when our website is accessed by the cookie consent tool, transmitted to beeclever servers, and stored there. This data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific, and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.
A further legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. As the controller, we are legally obliged to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user's consent.
Further information on data usage by beeclever can be found at https://beeclever.de/pages/datenschutz

This data will not be merged with other data sources.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular, retention periods—remain unaffected.

6. Analysis tools and advertising
6.1 Online Marketing
If a user clicks on an ad placed by us that is displayed on Facebook, a suffix is added to the URL of our linked page via Facebook Pixel. If our page allows data sharing with Facebook via Pixel, this URL parameter is written into the user's browser via a cookie, which our linked page itself sets. This cookie is then read by Facebook Pixel and enables the data to be forwarded to Facebook.
With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to define visitors to our online offering as a target group for displaying advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads we place only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g., interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interests of users and are not annoying. This allows us to further evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").
The data collected is anonymous to us, meaning it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data can enable Facebook and its partners to place advertisements on and outside of Facebook.
The data processing associated with the use of the Facebook Pixel takes place exclusively with your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your revocation, remove the check mark next to the "Facebook Pixel" setting in the "Cookie Consent Tool" integrated into the website.
6.2 Google AdSense
This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google AdSense uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Google AdSense also uses web beacons (small, invisible graphics) to collect information. These can be used to record, collect, and analyze simple actions such as visitor traffic. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your use of the website is typically transferred to a Google server and stored there. This information may also be transferred to Google LLC servers in the USA.
Google uses the information obtained in this way to evaluate your usage behavior with regard to AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google AdSense will not be merged with other Google data. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties if required by law and/or if third parties process this data on Google's behalf.
The described data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for the purpose of targeted advertising to users by third-party advertisers, whose ads are displayed on this website based on the analyzed user behavior. This processing also serves our financial interest in exploiting the economic potential of our website through the paid display of personalized third-party advertising content.
You can find further information about Google’s privacy policy at the following internet address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
You can permanently deactivate cookies for ad preferences by preventing them through the appropriate settings in your browser software or you can download and install the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de
Please note that certain functions of this website may not be available or may only be available to a limited extent if you have deactivated the use of cookies.
To the extent legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your consent, please follow the objection option described above.
6.3 Use of Google Ads Conversion Tracking
This website uses the online advertising program "Google Ads" and, as part of Google Ads, conversion tracking provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). We use Google Ads to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising materials (so-called Google Adwords). Based on the data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine the success of individual advertising measures. Our goal is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you, and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.
The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google Ads. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie in your internet browser under the keyword "User Settings." You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google Ads based on our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Using Google Ads may also result in the transmission of personal data to Google LLC's servers in the USA.
You can find further information about Google’s privacy policy at the following internet address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
You can permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Conversion Tracking by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from Google available at the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de
Please note that certain functions of this website may not be available or may only be available to a limited extent if you have deactivated the use of cookies.
To the extent legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service using the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website or, alternatively, follow the option for objecting described above.
6.4 Google Marketing Platform
This website uses the online marketing tool Google Marketing Platform operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("GMP").
GMP uses cookies to display relevant ads for users, improve campaign performance reports, or prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed multiple times. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
In addition, GMP can use cookie IDs to track conversions related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a GMP ad and later visits the advertiser's website using the same browser and makes a purchase through that website. According to Google, GMP cookies do not contain any personal information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the extent and further use of the data collected through the use of this tool by Google and therefore inform you according to our current state of knowledge as follows: By integrating GMP, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on one of our advertisements. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will find out and save your IP address. When using GMP, personal data may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
If you wish to object to participation in this tracking process, you can deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser so that cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com are blocked (see https://www.google.de/settings/ads). This setting will be deleted when you deactivate your cookies. Alternatively, you can find out more about the use of cookies and make your desired settings at the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info. Finally, you can set your browser so that you are informed about the use of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them or to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

7 Web analysis services
7.1 Google (Universal) Analytics
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google (Universal) Analytics uses "cookies," which are text files placed on your device, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your shortened IP address) is typically transferred to a Google server and stored there. This may also include transmission to Google LLC servers in the USA.
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics exclusively with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", which ensures that the IP address is anonymized by shortening it and prevents it from being directly linked to a person. This extension will shorten your IP address beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google (Universal) Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Google Analytics also uses a special function called "demographic features" to compile statistics with statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors based on an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the aid of third-party information. This allows the definition and differentiation of website user groups for the purpose of targeting marketing measures to specific groups. However, data collected via "demographic characteristics" cannot be assigned to a specific person.
All processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for reading information on the device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Without this consent, Google Analytics will not be used during your visit to the site.
You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. To exercise your right of revocation, please deactivate this service using the "Cookie Consent Tool" provided on the website. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics, which obligates Google to protect the data of our website visitors and not to share it with third parties.
For the transfer of data from the EU to the USA, Google relies on the European Commission's standard data protection clauses, which are intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA. Further information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found here:
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de
7.2 Plausible Analytics
To understand and improve the use of our website, we use the web analysis tool Plausible Analytics. Plausible does not set cookies, does not store any information in the browser, and generally does not collect any personal data. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of our website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). You can find more information about Plausible and this tool's data protection policy here. Service provider: OÜ Plausible Insights, Västriku tn 2, Tartu 50403, Estonia; Website: https://plausible.io/ , Data protection: https://plausible.io/data-policy .
8 Tools and Other
8.1 beeclever
8.2 Facebook Pixel
This website uses the Facebook visitor action pixel to measure conversions. This service is provided by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the collected data is also transferred to the USA and other third countries.
This allows the behavior of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize future advertising measures.
The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing a connection to the respective user profile and allowing Facebook to use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Facebook Data Use Policy . This allows Facebook to enable the placement of advertisements on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. We as the website operator cannot influence this use of the data.
The use of Facebook Pixel is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media. If corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time.
You can find further information on protecting your privacy in Facebook's privacy policy: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/ .
You can also deactivate the "Custom Audiences" remarketing feature in the Ad Settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen . You must be logged in to Facebook to do so.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can opt out of Facebook's usage-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/ .

The data entered into the newsletter registration form will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This means that we will only send you an email newsletter once you have expressly confirmed that you consent to receiving the newsletter. We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter in the future by clicking on a corresponding link.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. When you register for the newsletter, we save the IP address entered by your Internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration so that we can trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later date. The data we collect when you register for the newsletter will be used exclusively for the purposes of advertising via the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the person responsible named above. 11. Own services
Handling applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by email, post, or via an online application form). Below, we will inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data will be carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws and all other legal provisions, and that your data will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
Scope and purpose of data collection
If you send us an application, we will process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the new Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given your consent – Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. This consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on within our company to people involved in processing your application.
If your application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 of the new Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.
Data retention period
If we are unable to make you a job offer, if you reject a job offer, or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted for up to six months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application) on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. Retention is primarily for evidential purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the six-month period (e.g., due to impending or pending legal proceedings), deletion will only occur when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.
Longer storage may also take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or if statutory retention periods prevent deletion.
Inclusion in the applicant pool
If we don't offer you a job, you may be included in our applicant pool. If you are accepted, all documents and information from your application will be transferred to the applicant pool so that we can contact you if suitable vacancies arise.
Inclusion in the applicant pool is based solely on your express consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Providing your consent is voluntary and has no connection to the ongoing application process. The data subject may revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, unless there are legal reasons for retention.
The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent has been given.
MINORS
The website is not intended for persons under the age of 18.
