1. Mandarin and Orange Slushie
Ingredients
4 cl THE DUKE ROUGH Gin
75 g filleted mandarins (about 1 seedless mandarin)
125 g filleted oranges (approx. 1 orange), plus an orange slice for garnishing
1/4 Mug of Ice Cubes
15g Sugar
Preparation
Peel the mandarin and the orange, fillet and cut roughly. Then place them in a freezer bag and freeze overnight. Put the frozen fruit together with the ice cubes into a blender and mix until a coarse mass is formed.
Stir the sugar with a tablespoon of hot water until the sugar is dissolved; then add it to the blender together with the gin. Blend until everything reaches an even, fine consistency. Pour into a glass, garnish with the orange slice and serve immediately.
2. Grapefruit and Raspberry Slushie
Ingredients
50 g frozen raspberries, plus 1-2 extra to garnish
150 g filleted grapefruit (from approx. ½ Grapefruit)
1/4 Mug of Ice Cubes
15 g Sugar
Preparation
Peel the grapefruit, fillet it and cut it roughly. Then place them in a freezer bag and freeze overnight. Put the frozen pulp together with the frozen raspberries and ice cubes into a blender and mix until a coarse mass is formed.
Stir the sugar with a tablespoon of hot water until the sugar is dissolved; then add it to the blender together with the gin. Blend until everything reaches an even, fine consistency. Pour into a glass, garnish with 1-2 raspberries and serve immediately.
3. Cucumber, Lime and Mint Slushie
Ingredients
100 g peeled cucumber (approx. ½ cucumber), plus extra cucumber slice for garnish
100 g filleted limes (from approx. 1-2 limes)
10 leaves of mint
1/4 cup ice cubes
15 g sugar
preparation
Peel the cucumber and cut it into small pieces. Peel the limes, fillet them (remove the skin) and also cut them roughly. Then put the cucumber pieces in a freezer bag and freeze overnight. Put the frozen ingredients together with the mint and ice cubes in a blender and mix until a coarse mass is formed.
Mix the sugar with a tablespoon of hot water until the sugar has dissolved; then add it to the mixer along with the gin. Mix until everything reaches an even, fine consistency. Pour into a glass, garnish with a slice of cucumber and serve immediately.
