What would Bavarian cuisine be without caraway? It's hard to imagine. But this time-honored spice also has a long tradition in liquid form. However, the spirit has been somewhat forgotten in recent decades – unjustly. We want to counteract this and have revived the traditional Munich caraway . The result is a full-bodied, clear liqueur with a strong yet subtle caraway flavor, distilled – as always at THE DUKE – from purely organic ingredients.
Caraway – The Grumpy Man
Munich also likes to grumble, no question. Whether the tram is delayed again, the weather isn't to your liking, a cyclist wanders onto the sidewalk for a few meters, or beer prices have gone up again. Even if not everyone is happy about it, just like the Frauenkirche and the Oktoberfest, grumpiness is at home in the Bavarian capital. We pay tribute to all those lovably grumpy people with our Kümmel – The Grumpler .
The "Grantler Caraway" is significantly less sweet than its brother, the original Munich Caraway. The caraway distillate is further refined with a caraway macerate, giving the Grantler an even more robust yet delicate caraway note, as well as its noble amber color. Made for all those who don't always have to live in sweet harmony, but who also want to let out what they don't like every now and then.
Both caraway seeds are best enjoyed as a chilled digestif to fully enjoy the effects of the caraway seeds.
