Springtime Gin Collins Variations

There is an endless array of different storys about how the cocktail “Tom Collins” got its name. More importantly there are just as many variations of the drink itself. Even a classic cocktail can vary – we think this is brilliant. We would like to introduce you to a few fruity and colourful Gin Collins variations that are best enjoyed on a late summer evening sitting on a balcony or windowsill.

Strawberry Lime Gin Collins
3 cl Fresh lime juice
2 cl Strawberry syrup*
Soda water

Kiwi Gin Collins
1 Kiwi, roughly chopped
Lime juice (1/2 a Lime)
2 tsp. Sugar
Soda water

Lavender Gin Collins
3 cl Lemon juice
2 cl Lavender syrup*
Soda water

Berry Gin Collins
110 g Fresh berries (mixed, e.g. raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)
3 cl Lime juice
The leaves of 3 sprigs of thyme
2 cl Sugar syrup
Tonic water

Melon Rosemary Gin Collins
3 cl Lemon juice
2 cl Rosemary syrup*
55 g Melon
Soda water

Another tip, for those of you who mix often: Due to its sugar content, the syrup lasts a very long time. Weeks or months if chilled. Accordingly, you can also simply double the ingredients and use the syrup for numerous other cocktails. And if you prefer a non-alcoholic drink, just add a shot of syrup to a glass of soda water and you have a tasty lemonade.
